ZIL-131 Fire Truck: Technical Details and Utility
The ZIL-131 configured as a fire truck (commonly known under the Soviet/Russian designation AC-40 (131)-137 or PMZ variants) has very distinct technical specifications and utility, both in the real world and within simulation games like Farming Simulator.
???? Main Technical Details (Based on the real model and its mod adaptation):
Axle Configuration (6x6 Drive): Features permanent all-wheel drive across its three axles, giving it extreme off-road mobility.
Engine Power: Historically equipped with a 6.0-liter V8 gasoline engine (though many mod conversions simulate adapted diesel variants), delivering around 150 horsepower (HP) at 3,200 rpm.
Pumping System (AC-40): Its main pump is typically designed for flow rates of approximately 40 liters of water per second, making it highly efficient for high-pressure primary hose lines.
Tank Capacity: Typically features an integrated water tank holding about 2,400 liters and an additional foam compartment of around 150 liters.
Dimensions and Ground Clearance: With a length over 7 meters and a ground clearance exceeding 33 cm, it is optimized to overcome severe obstacles.
????️ Utility in Games and Roleplay Servers:
Off-Road First Intervention Vehicle: Thanks to its military 6x6 chassis, its primary role in simulation maps is accessing remote forest fires, mountainous areas, or muddy terrain where modern urban highway trucks (4x2 or light 4x4s) would get stuck.
Mechanical Durability and "Old-School" Vibe: In a roleplay context, it represents a classic, rugged option ideal for rural maps, Eastern European-themed environments, or emergency mission scenarios where mechanical toughness is prized over modern digital tech.
Logistical and Rescue Support: Its 3D-modeled side compartments allow players to simulate the deployment of extrication tools, extra hose sections, and first-aid gear.
